We encourage the UC Merced community to get invoved with the Merced community. By volunteering you can build connections with other students as well as with the local business owners. While volunteering, you will be helping the Transfer, Returning, & Veteran program along with the other programs involved with making this event happen by performing the tasks. As a volunteer, you will recieve a free CatCrawl T-shirt (while supplies last). If you are interested, please follow this link!

Volunteer Positions
Set-up Specialist: Responsible for setting up the locations and distributing bracelets to participants.
CatCrawl Check-in: You’ll be responsible for ensuring that participants are welcomed properly to the event by swiping their CatCard, giving them a participant bracelet, a map of the participating businesses, and a participant T-shirt until we run out. You’ll invite them to participate in all the tabling we’ll have going on & there should be lots of interactive things for them to do at Bob Hart Square until they’re ready to explore downtown. They can even start collecting tickets for winning at the end.
CatCrawl Ambassador: You’ll be responsible for being the face of UC Merced with the business that you will be stationed. You’ll help keep track of how many visitors they are getting & making sure that each participant gets their ticket once they’ve visited the location that you are responsible for. We want this to be a great experience for our participants but also for our businesses and you are an integral part of that equation.
Main Street Usher: Walk around and check in on all the businesses to make sure everything is running smoothly and report any issue.
CatCrawl Prize Patrol: You’ll be responsible for helping us pull names of winners, track the winners & their information, saving the tickets for tracking purposes & most of all making sure our winners receive their prize or the information they need to collect it.
